SUE DEAN OTTISIt's been a month of reflection for many of us.  September 11, 2011 marked the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy.   Ten years later we haven't forgotten and many lives were changed forever.

We still face challenges every day, some more significant than others.

A vendor at one of the first artisan shows we attended gave us a sticker that we still have on our cash box.  It reads " Success: the ability to go from one challenge to the next without loss of enthusiasm."

It's the same enthusiasm that we get from Otis, our black lab.   He is ready to enjoy every day, whether it's a boring day in the workshop or an enjoyable truck ride to Port Dover.

So as we head into autumn with it's cooler temperatures and sunny skies, enjoy some time with friends and family.  Take your puppy out for a walk and follow their lead - be enthused and enjoy the day.

Happy Fall,

Sue & Dean

Up-cycled Productupcycle hooks

There's a use for everything.  We change pieces of architectural salvage into useful items like these wall hooks made from old trim.

They're great for any room in your home.

Every Piece Has Its Story
Custom Product Feature

Custom Wall UnitThis custom piece was so large; it was impossible to get in one photo.  We worked with our customer and her designer to create this one-of-a-kind piece for her living room.

The focal point is the pair of gothic windows salvaged from a rural church and mounted as doors on the corner unit.  The reclaimed wood shelving boards are from an 1820's Sparta area grainery.  The metal towers were built in sections and the wood was woven through to create a continual flow for the unit.

Bedside Tables

One of the hottest items this summer was bedside tables.  With the increased height of mattresses, many customers requested custom size tables for both function and decor.

Perth Pepper & PestlePerth Pepper

Ever since I tried Perth Pepper & Pestle products, I have stopped making my own red pepper jelly.   Canadian made in Perth, Ontario, these jellies are delicious blends of sweet and savoury.   Along with their red pepper jellies we have started to carry their grainy mustards and spice mixes.  Perfect hostess gifts and stocking stuffers!
