Second Bloom Design is a manufacturer and retailer of handcrafted furniture made from reclaimed wood and architectural salvage.

Our story began in 2005 after a visit to our grandparent’s farmhouse prior to its demolition. We gathered salvage and vintage treasures and brought them to our country home. From the salvage, we created a few unique pieces for ourselves. Others expressed interest in our furniture and loved the story behind each piece.

Our Canadian made, handcrafted furniture is unique, simple and full of character. We work primarily with locally harvested wood used in older structures including homes, churches, schoolhouses and barns. The natural beauty of the wood is preserved in our furniture. From our industrial metal and reclaimed wood furniture to our one-of-a-kind wood cabinets, each piece is built and finished by hand.

Come visit our shop in Dorchester. We sell the furniture pieces in the shop but also specialize in custom work. We have customers from all over Southern Ontario who bring their idea to us and we create a one-of-a-kind piece with its very own story.
